Tiffany & Lucas

Hoping to Adopt (Texas)

Letter

Hello there!

We want you to know that we see you and value you no matter what decision you choose for your baby.

Nice to meet you!
Hello there! Wow, you are so incredibly brave to be considering adoption as part of your child's journey. We, Tiffany, and Lucas, are honored to be one of the families for you to be considering! We want you to know that we see you and value you no matter what decision you choose for your baby. This is a HUGE decision, and we want you to make it wisely. If that means that you choose us to love your baby, we would be over the moon! Or if an opportunity arises for you to care for your baby with the help of loved ones, that is also a cause for celebration. Thank you again for your courage to even consider adoption. You are amazing!
Our Story

Our foundation of friendship is what we could call our key to success and causes us to be intentional with one another.

Our Wedding
The desire to expand our family through adoption has been a conversation since we were dating. Adoption is something that we both feel incredibly passionate about because we have so much love to give. Our journey with Gladney began a bit earlier than we were planning due to 2 pregnancy losses. Those were the 'push' that we needed to get the ball rolling and we are so thankful for that! Since then, we've been surrounded by community who have shared their amazing adoption stories and provided an outpouring of love on our journey. ---------- We started dating in fall of 2016. Tiffany was working in fundraising for a social services agency, which included managing a Young Professionals group. Lucas joined the group and we instantly hit it off! Dating for us was filled with time outdoors, Tiffany's dog Bear (you'll hear more about him later), and most importantly, deep intentional conversation about our beliefs, hopes, and dreams for the future. This allowed us to fall in love fast. Tiffany told Lucas that she was going to marry him on date 3 - thankfully Lucas didn't run away. It was a great example of when 'You know, you know'. We got married in fall of 2017 - almost a year to the day of our dating anniversary! We mentioned the pregnancy losses, but we were fortunate enough to get pregnant (third time's the charm?) and take the pregnancy to term and have Warren. Funnily enough, this pregnancy happened about a month after we started our adoption journey with Gladney - isn't timing funny? Our marriage is defined by the fact that we are best friends. Our foundation of friendship is what we could call our key to success and causes us to be intentional with one another. We take the time to ask how we can make the other's life better, and we challenge each other to be better. Also, we laugh A LOT. Lucas is quite the jokester. Since having Warren, our marriage has continued to be filled with intentionality and love - even though a lot of our activities have shifted to who's packing lunch or making sure the laundry is done for our little guy! We make time for a weekly date, just the two of us and we read books together so that we can continue to grow and have more to talk about than Warren (even though we love talking about him!). We believe that our marriage and love for each other is our #1 priority and that is what sets the tone for a loving household for our family.
Thank you!

We are committed and excited for what the future has in-store and can't wait to see this story unfold!
