Can I choose the family to adopt my child?

Choosing a family that you love to adopt your baby is a very personal process. There are a number of reasons you might choose one family over the next. That being said, you may already have some preferences about the family’s dynamics, location, religion, culture, or education. You may find a family that meets absolutely none of your initial criteria—but you love them anyway. Many birth mothers talk about a light bulb moment when they meet the family, and others feel that assurance later on. We encourage you to look at as many Parent Profiles as you can to get acquainted with your options.
